Pull purple, find teal walled into a deeper corner, and you have turned a three-pull plan into a six-pull scramble — with the clock ticking.
The framework also tells you when to break the rule, which is the part most guides skip. If the biggest pit is actually the scattered one, it is not the right first pull. Size alone does not order your moves, reachability does. Count grains, then check the geometry: a middling color that unlocks two others beats a big color that unlocks nothing.
